Major in Museum and Curatorial Studies


This undergraduate program is one of only a few in Canada that provides students with extensive marketable and transferable skills for work in museum and curatorial environments. The program emphasises practical experience through curatorial assignments, internships and collaboration with the local arts community. Students will emerge with skills that will translate into potential careers including museum and gallery curating, museum technician, collections management for public and private institutions, work within cultural archives and education sectors. Museum Studies course

Each year the Museum Studies course (VAS/VAH3385E) researches, prepares and mounts a full exhibition in the Visual Arts Building. The 2012 class presents Famously Anonymous. Due to popular demand, the course is by application. Applications are due each March. For more info visit the Visual Arts website.
