I Know Someone is an education, awareness, training and social marketing campaign developed by the University Students' Council, Western University, Sexual Assault Centre London, and Changing Ways.

Goals of Campaign:
  • Increase awareness about the continuum of sexual violence
  • Teach bystander skills to safely intervene when necessary
  • Empower students to recognize their role in ending sexual violence

If you have been physically or sexually assaulted and it is between 8am-4pm go to the Urgent Care Centre at St. Joseph's Hospital.  After 4:00 pm go to nearest emergency room and request to speak with the 24 hour sexual assault on-call nurse.

Abused women will be offered hope and help for their hurt through the provision of advocacy, counselling and support services in a safe, non-crisis, non-residential setting. You can contact us by phone for an appointment for free counselling, advice and emotional support with a commitment to protecting your privacy. An interpreter will be made available through Across Languages if you prefer to speak in your own language. In the counselling session, we offer safety planning and useful information about the abuse you are experiencing. Child care is provided during your appointment.

Women’s Community House has been providing shelter for abused women and their children since 1978. There are a total of 67 beds available at our two shelter locations and there is no charge for your stay. While in the shelter, women can receive counselling and are offered programs such as personal safety planning and moving toward a life free of violence. Specialized programs for children who have witnessed violence are also available. Support for physical and mental health is available on site through partnerships with Canadian Mental Health Association and the London Middlesex Health Unit. Children and youth (up to age 16) can stay with you in family-style rooms. Our Wellington Shelter is located at 101 Wellington Road and our Clarke Shelter is located at 450 Clarke Road.
