Testimonials

Since we began researching in the R. Samuel McLaughlin Foundation Exercise and Pregnancy Lab in 1989, we have had many research participants share their experiences with us. We couldn't be happier to have played a role in helping these women have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Read some of their testimonials below.

“I would like to thank you for all the help and care that you have given me during my pregnancy. In your special way you helped me understand which implications diabetes had to my own as well as to my baby’s health. You explained to me again and again the importance of healthy eating habits. I started to exercise and follow the special diet that you’ve built especially for me. I was highly motivated as you also helped me realize that even though I had diabetes, I could stop it from passing on to my children.”

“I felt great throughout my pregnancy much due to the exercise program I was on. I enjoyed meeting all of the staff and will make recommendations to other women to investigate your research programs in the future.”

“Thank you so much for all your help through my pregnancy. Needless to say I was very surprised to feel well enough to leave the hospital less than 30 hours after [my daughter] was born! I’m guessing your help had a lot to do with that.”
