Why I chose Western: I chose Western Health Sciences due to its reputation as an academic centre focused on forward thinking approaches to learning, research, and the student experience. Western attracts researchers whom are engaged with the community's needs and interests and this was especially important to me as a student and researcher, both while at Western and in the ensuing years.

How my Western experience prepared me for the next steps in my career: My experience at Western taught me how to be an independent, creative thinker while honing my communication, leadership, and management skills. The lifelong personal connections that I made at Western have been an invaluable asset gained from my time on campus. This, coupled with the people I met at academic conferences, through teaching experiences, and the research process, have helped me tremendously in deciding on my future career and research aspirations.

What I find most satisfying about my career choice: The knowledge gained through my research experience at Western has equipped me to confidently answer and provide information to patients on their health concerns. I enjoy working with children and their families, to educate and provide opportunities to improve their health.

My favourite Western memory: Homecoming weekend is always a great time!
