George Kourounis is an active storm chaser, global adventurer, explorer, and television presenter. From natural disasters to natural beauty, George has seen unparalleled weather extremes. He has battled jungles, swam with sharks, visited erupting volcanoes, and ventured on the path of tornadoes and hurricanes.

George joins us to speak about how his scariest and most rewarding experiences have shaped his outlook on the world. With a colorfully-detailed multimedia presentation, George will help us reconnect with our planet, and understand the forces of nature that affect the Earth and the life inhabiting it.

Bio:

George Kourounis has been chasing storms for over 13 years and has expanded his explorations to include all types of extreme natural phenomena. George's efforts to document nature's worst weather conditions and extreme environments have taken him all over the world. His travels have been seen around the world on the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Explorer, BBC-TV, CNN, and his own Gemini Award nominated adventure TV program, Angry Planet, which is broadcast in over 35 countries.
