Candidates for the Global and Intercultural Engagement Certificate can claim volunteer or unpaid*
internship experience with a significant global or intercultural component of 10 to 24 hours for 10
points, 25 hours or more for 20 points and 100 hours or more for 30 points. Candidates are required
to complete at least 20 of their points in this Category and, as in every Category, may not claim more
than 50 toward the Certificate. International Learning has compiled a list of volunteer and internship
opportunities both locally and internationally as a starting point, but this list is in no way definitive.
*Experiences for which candidates recieved a grant or stipend are acceptable.
