Deadline for application: March 3rd OR March 17th (ORA SLP & OBW SLP)

To apply:

  1. Online Application: log-in to the Student Services website, choose "My Possibilities", then "International Exchange Program." Summer students do not need to answer the short answer questions.  Ontario Univerisities Internationl Programs below will require a supplementary application form found on the program's website. 
  2. Application Fee:  $25 dollars in cash to be submitted before the deadline.
  3. Official Transcript: to be submitted before the deadline.

Completed supporting documentation must be submitted to WSS 2120 by 4pm the day of the deadline.

*Please note that once our office accepts your application, the host institution may require additional supporting documents.

After acceptance:

Students must complete a Letter of Permission (for Study Abroad) or Course Approval form (for Exchange - available at the exchange office) to tranfer credit to their Western degree.  What's the difference between Exchange and Study Abroad?

Wondering how to fund your summer abroad?  The Global Opportunities Award offers $1000 scholarships for international experiences.

  • Universidad de Salamanca (courses in Spanish Language and Culture)
  • Dates:  Sessions throughout the summer
  • Cost: 1,035-1,090€ for 1.0 credit (tuition only)

The Ontario Universities International Programs (scholarships available for sucessful applicants):

  • Rhone-Alpes Student Exchange
  • Dates: 1 month (late July-August)
  • Cost:
    St. Etienne(CILEC): 480€ 
    Grenoble 3 University(CUEF): 530€
  • $1,000 scholarship
