Staff International Engagement

Explore the Caribbean!

Western is focused on becoming a global leader in international education. As part of this international strategy the Staff Working Group on International Engagement (SIE) is developing opportunities for Western staff to participate and lead initiatives that reach beyond our campus.

To encourage global awareness and impact, Western’s staff international engagement group is establishing partnerships with several leading development organizations. We invite you investigate how to become involved and share your talents aimed at benefiting society and increasing our collective global awareness.

Explore the Caribbean!

Western’s Staff International Working Group (SIE) invites Western staff to Explore the Caribbean. Enjoy Caribbean-themed food and learn how you can get involved with one of the international staff opportunities.

Tickets are $12 and must be purchased in advance. Space is limited. Last year’s Experience Vietnam lunch was sold out so get your tickets early!

All staff, librarians and archivists are welcome. Staff who don't wish to purchase lunch are welcome to come by and enjoy the displays and program.

Applications now closed for 2016/17 Western Staff International Exchange

WSIEP offers participants the opportunity to broaden their professional perspectives through global job-shadowing experiences at participating host institutions. Applications for travel during the time of May 2016 to April 2017 are now closed.

Candidates selected for the 2016/17 Leave For Change Program

Congratulations to Lori Dengler, Postgraduate Education Coordinator, Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and Sylvia Kontra, Graduate Affairs Assistant in Modern Languages and Literatures on their selection to represent Western in the 2016/17 Leave for Change Program (L4C). Both Lori and Syliva will be travelling to Vietnam for their L4C placements.
