Activate Your Western Identity - links to a page where you can activate your Western Identity so that you can begin to use your Western account.
- Go to https://myoffice.uwo.ca
- Enter your full [userID]@uwo.ca email address and password
- Click Sign In
- Click the square blue Mail button
- Choose your desired Language and Time zone, click Save
Microsoft Office 365 is a powerful web-based email and calendar platform that combines a very large email quota with robust, multi-device support.
Microsoft Student Advantage
As an additional benefit, students using Office 365 have access to Microsoft Student Advantage. This means you are able to install the full suite of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.) on up to 10 devices you own, including Macs and smartphones/tablets. Please note that Student Advantage is only available to registered Western and Affiliate students whose email is in Office 365.
Microsoft Office Home Use for Faculty and Staff

You can send instant messages, share desktops, files and presentations and see meeting participants and availablity of others. Please note that connecting outside of Western is intermittent and depends on destination accessibility.
How do I get it?
Skype for Business is included with the Microsoft Office download for Windows and can be found on the app store for Android and iOS users.
Mac users can obtain Skype for Business by follwing the directions below:
- Go to http://myoffice.uwo.ca and login
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner
- Click Office 365 Settings
- Click Software on the left
- Click Lync on the left
Users have to download the Skype for Business client and the update found directly below that. Install both and then restart your Mac.
What is Office 365 ProPlus?
Microsoft Office ProPlus is a subscription to the latest version of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including:
Western has recently signed a Campus License Agreement with Microsoft to provide Microsoft products to the Campus. As part of that agreement, Western WTS would like to proudly announce the Microsoft Student Advantage. The Student Advantage agreement will allow Western to provide students with a full Office ProPlus subscription for personal use at no cost. Users will be allowed to install Office on up to 10 devices they own, including mobile devices and Macs.
How do I get Office 365 ProPlus?
If you are a Western or Affiliate Student, faculty member, or staff, go to http://myoffice.uwo.ca and login to obtain and manage your free copies of Microsoft Office. Additional setup information can be found here.
Who Is Eligible?
All Western and Affiliate students, faculty, and staff qualify for Office 365 ProPlus downloads for home use.
