Celebrating our World

[April 21, 2010] Facilities Management is encouraging Western to "take five" on Earth Day (April 22) and participate in this year's Campus Clean Up. The Grounds crew will provide organized groups gloves and garbage bags. Email Marc Vanden Heuvel to get equipped.

In celebration of Earth Day, Facilities Management has also enhanced its eWaste collection, launched a sustainability video and joined the LED University consortium. <Read More>

We Are Committed to Making A Difference

Composed in 1990, the Talloires Declaration (TD) is a ten-point action plan for incorporating sustainability and environmental literacy in teaching, research, operations and outreach at colleges and universities. It has been signed by over 350 university presidents and chancellors in over 40 countries, including the University of Western Ontario.
