Description:

The diabetes funding strategy awards grants every two years through a call for letters of intent.

The Lawson Foundation invites applications to support innovative projects in Canada that address: a) the prevention of diabetes in at-risk populations; and/or b) the delivery of health care to those who are living with diabetes.

Application Details:

The diabetes funding strategy supports innovative, evidence-based projects in Canada that promote effective partnerships and lead to enduring benefits for the community. Maximum grant amount is $150,000 payable over 24 months (maximum $75,000 per 12 month period)

Please read the instructions on the Sponsor's website concerning their online application form and project criteria. When you have submitted your application online. Please MAIL four (4) copies of the application, date-stamped no later than the August 17, 2009 due date, to The Lawson Foundation. Please include only one (1) copy of your organization?s most recent annual report. Invitations to submit a full proposal will be sent out by 16 October 2009. Full applications due 23 November 2009.

INDIRECT COSTS POLICY HAS NOT YET BEEN ESTABLISHED

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
