Description: |
The Universities Without Walls Initiative announces its first call for Fellowship applications. There will be two competitions per year (every 6 months). The Universities Without Walls Fellowship supports up to 12 Fellows from January 2010 until June 2010 to undertake an intensive training in HIV research in addition to her/his academic studies or community work (a UWW Fellowship may be held in addition to other educational funding. However, restrictions may apply; please consult your existing funding agreement and institution for further detail). Travel, accommodation, and meals to one pre-scheduled five-day Learning Institute will be funded by UWW. |

Application Details: |
The UWW Fellowship Program is a six-month interdisciplinary, collaborative, and individualized educational program in HIV/AIDS research that allocates $10,000 individual fellowships to up to 12 applicants who are qualified MA, PhD, Post-doctoral students, and Exceptional Community Members. Applicants must be a student enrolled in (or accepted to) a graduate level program at a Canadian university and conducting research in the HIV/AIDS field leading to a Masters or PhD (or equivalent) or a health professional degree.

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
