Description: |
To contribute to the creation, dissemination and use of health-related knowledge, and to help develop and maintain Canadian health research capacity, by supporting original, high quality projects proposed and conducted by individual researchers or groups The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:
-support research on public health and health care system responses to the H1N1 outbreak to inform future planning and decision-making;
study the differential effects of public health and health care system interventions for dealing with H1N1 on vulnerable populations including Aboriginal peoples, young children, pregnant women, seniors, at risk individuals in closed facilities (long-term care, prisons), individuals with underlying health conditions such as immunosuppresed individuals, health care workers and caregivers;
-support research on the ethical, legal, social and gender implications of the H1N1 outbreak; and.
-study the effectiveness of knowledge translation approaches in responding to H1N1. |
