Description: |
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) provides annual funding for nursing health services research through the Nursing Research Fund (NRF). The search for solutions and strategies to address key nursing Health Human Resources (HHR) issues such as recruitment, retention, nurse preparation, improvements to work environments, job satisfaction and utilization of the workforce is common across many jurisdictions. Three different types of proposals are accepted through this call for proposals: Research Projects, Research Programs and Research Networks. Only those who have submitted a successful LOI will be invited to submit a full application |

Application Details: |
Applicants are advised that MOHLTC requires a third party annual audit to be completed for grants, and as such applicants should include the appropriate costs in their initial budget justification. The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with an appointment at, or
affiliation with, an Ontario post-secondary institution, hospital or officially associated research
institute. The proposal must be submitted using the 2009/10 Full Proposal Application Form. It is the
candidate?s responsibility to ensure that the application is COMPLETE and received in the Nursing
Secretariat?s office by the deadline. No supplemental information may be provided after the
deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Information received after the deadline
will also not be considered. The principal applicant is required to submit an electronic copy (MS WORD format) of the 2009/10 Full Proposal Application Form by no later 4:00pm on March 19, 2010 to: Nursing Secretariat | nursingsecretariat.moh@ontario.ca | The EMAIL subject line should read:
?NRF CALL FOR PROPOSALS SUBMISSION ? [insert principal applicant name here]? In addition, 11 hard copies should be delivered by no later 4:00pm on March 19, 2010 to: The Nursing Secretariat.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM. |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
