Description: |
Pfizer Canada is strongly committed to improving cardiovascular health, and is pleased to support Canadian medical innovation through this research award program. This program aims to fund and support independent cardiovascular research in the areas of basic biomedical, clinical, health services and systems and health populations. For Round 7 of the CardioVascular Research Awards the focus of your research proposal must be in line with any of the following areas of research:
- Diabetes and the metabolic syndrome: prevention, management, complications
- Thrombosis and hemostasis
- Heart failure |

Application Details: |
This award is of up to $100,000.00. At least one award will be granted to a young investigator (within first five years of first academic position). Application must be completed online via the Sponsor's website. You will also be asked to provide the following:
- An official signed letter from your institution
- Your CV as well as the CV or any co-investigator
- Letters of collaboration from collaborator slated to conduct key aspects of the experimental plan
- A detailed budget
The program allows the same proposal to be resubmitted a maximum of two times. However, applicants are requested to address Review Committee comments made at the earlier round.INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
