Description:

This grant will support a new research grant related to the role of epigenetics in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. Epigenetics is an area of intense current scientific interest. -Candidates for this award must hold an MD, PhD or equivalent degree (e.g., MB, ChB, MBBS, DO) and a full-time faculty position at an accredited North American institution. -Candidates research must be conducted at an accredited North American institution. -Candidates must be in the early phase of their careers: clinicians who completed clinical training and investigators who received their final research degree no more than seven (7) years before the application due date.

Application Details:

The recipient of this grant will receive $100,000 per year for three years, an amount and duration that will protect a significant portion of his/her time for research. Funds may be applied to salaries, supplies and other research-related expenses, but not equipment. Funding for years two and three is contingent on receipt of a satisfactory progress report from the grantee. All applications should be submitted to proposal central at https://proposalcentral.altum.com/. Please complete all indicated sections. The grant will be awarded in the amount of $300,000 for a period of three years. This award supports up to 10% in indirect costs

10% INDIRECT COSTS TO BE INCLUDED IN BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
