Description: |
This grant will support a new research grant related to the role of epigenetics in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. Epigenetics is an area of intense current scientific interest.
-Candidates for this award must hold an MD, PhD or equivalent degree (e.g., MB, ChB, MBBS, DO) and a full-time faculty position at an accredited North American institution.
-Candidates research must be conducted at an accredited North American institution.
-Candidates must be in the early phase of their careers: clinicians who completed clinical training and investigators who received their final research degree no more than seven (7) years before the application due date. RFP Distribution January 9, 2015

Application Details: |
The recipient of this grant will receive $100,000 per year for three years, an amount and duration that will protect a significant portion of his/her time for research. Funds may be applied to salaries, supplies and other research-related expenses, but not equipment. Funding for years two and three is contingent on receipt of a satisfactory progress report from the grantee.
