Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), also known as Pervasive Development Disorders, encompasses a range of complex developmental disorders characterized by mild to severe challenges to social, emotional, and communication abilities.
The Autism Research Program was established to promote innovative, high-impact research focused on autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The ARP focuses its funding on projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with ASD. The ARP Clinical Trial Award supports research with the potential to have a major impact on the
treatment or management of ASD. Funding from this award mechanism must support a
clinical trial and may not be used for preclinical research studies. |

Proposal submission is a two-step process consisting of (1) a pre-application submission through eBRAP and (2) an application submission through Grants.gov (http://www.grants.gov/).
