Description:

The purpose of this program is to provide underrepresented new investigators with funding that will allow them to develop preliminary or pilot data, to test procedures, and to develop hypotheses.

This program aims to increase the number of investigators from diverse backgrounds whose basic, clinical and social/behavioral research interests are related to Alzheimer's, dementias and health disparities populations.

Application Details:

Eligibility to apply for this grant competition is restricted to investigators who have less than 10 years of research experience after receipt of their terminal degree.

Applicants applying to the New Investigators Program will have the opportunity to resubmit unfunded applications to the All Investigators Program. Each submitted application, regardless of cycle, will need an independent LOI prepared and submitted for the program of interest

INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
