Description:

The purpose of the targeted research program is to fund research focused on the following two Cystic Fibrosis Canada priority areas and knowledge gaps within these areas: Screening, monitoring, and management of cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD) with the goal of reducing the burden of care; and Gastrointestinal (GI) symptomatology

Grants will be awarded for two years up to a maximum of $100K/year. Year two funding is contingent upon a successful year-end report review detailing progress on the Year one milestones outlined in the proposal. Funding will commence April 1st, 2018. Application Details:

Proposals in this program must have a high relevance to patients and the potential to impact patient care or health by the end of the two-year funding period. While investigators may apply for funding of the same research project to both the annual fall research competition and the targeted research call, they may ultimately receive funding through only one of these avenues.

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
