Description: The fellowship program of the CLA was established in 1959. It is financed by annual contributions from each provincial lung association in Canada and through partnerships. The CTS Research Committee reviews the applications for merit and funds are administered by The Lung Association ? National Office.

Application Details:

The general objective of the fund is to build Canadian research capacity that contributes to the field of respiratory health in Canada. Funding may support individuals completing research related to basic, applied or clinical study using quantitative or qualitative methodologies.The Applicant and supervisor must be CTS members.Fellowship applicants - should be working under supervision of a faculty member at an accredited Canadian academic institution.

Obtain appropriate package of application materials from the Canadian Thoracic Society website: http://www.lung.ca/cts-sct/research-recherche_e.php. ONE (1) original application and ONE (1) electronic copy of the application are required. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS ARE RECEIVED DIRECTLY AT THE LUNG ASSOCIATION - NATIONAL OFFICE FROM THE INSTITUTION(S) AND POST-MARKED BY JANUARY 31st 2012. Applications must be post-marked no later than JANUARY 31st 2012. Also, send one (1) electronic copy via the http://cts.myreviewroom.com/ website by JANUARY 31st 2012. The Lung Association ? National Office will confirm receipt of your application via e-mail.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
