HEI is a nonprofit corporation chartered in 1980 as an independent research organization to provide high-quality, impartial, and relevant science on the health effects of air pollution. Preference will be given to (1) studies that evaluate regulatory and other actions at the national or regional level implemented over multiple years; (2) studies that evaluate complex sets of actions targeted at improving air quality in large urban areas and major ports with well documented air quality problems and programs to address them; and (3) studies that develop methods to support such health outcomes research. |

Application forms are available in PDF or RTF format. Investigators are strongly encouraged to submit a Preliminary Application by May 18, 2011. Investigators who do not submit a preliminary application should submit a Letter of Intent by July 13, 2011.INDIRECT COSTS OF 30% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
