Funding is available to well-established investigators for innovative research projects in pulmonary science and medicine. Funds are intended to provide well-established investigators with start-up (venture) funding in the broad field of pulmonary science and medicine. The funds can be used to recruit investigators to an established research group and provide them with initial salary support; for research equipment and operating expenses; and for the support of graduate students & research fellows. |

Application Details: |
Applications for NSA grants should include a research proposal of up to five pages and a proposed budget for each year of the grant. The research proposal should outline the rationale for the project, and should describe its innovative features, importance and timelines. A detailed review of the literature and detailed research methods and techniques are not required. An abbreviated CV of each investigator is required. Applications must be submitted by 1 June 2010.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM. |
NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
