Description: |
Research grants may be used to employ assistants (technical or professional) or student trainees, to remunerate professional advisors, to purchase materials and supplies, and to support field travel costs related to research. Donor funds are used to provide research grants that support the health, mobility and well-being of Canadians. Research Grants to: encourage the development of new technology and treatment methods; develop methods for the prevention and early recognition of physical disabilities; evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing treatment methods; and encourage epidemiological studies on the incidence and prevalence of physical disabilities. One award of $4,000 will be made in 2011. |

Application Details: |
Research projects must have a defined objective that is designed to further develop the art and science of physiotherapy. Applications for research grants must be received at the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada's offices by February 18, 2011 on the current Application Form (applicants are responsible for making certain they are using current version of the application regulations and guidelines). Applicants must submit one hard copy and one soft copy of the completed application and all attachments.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
