The Small Research Grants program is intended to support education research projects with budgets of $50,000 or less. In keeping with the Spencer Foundation?s mission, this program aims to fund academic work that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived. |

Application Details: |
Principal Investigators (PIs) applying for a Research Grant must have an earned doctorate in an academic discipline or professional field, or appropriate experience in an education research-related profession. Applications are entered on the Spencer Foundation online system https://spencer.smartsimple.us.
After you have completed the above sections in the online application, you should click the ?Save Draft? button at the bottom of the application. In this section there will be a "Download Proposal PDF" button that will allow you to create a PDF version of your complete proposal submission, preceded by a sign-off form. This PDF should be sent to an authorized representative at the administering organization (typically a grants and contracts or finance administrator) for review and approval. Once the sign-off form has been signed, it should be scanned and uploaded using the Upload button in this section of the application. Instructions for completing this section are also detailed in the online application. This final step is expected to be done by the submission deadline; please allow enough time to complete this task.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
