Description: |
Please review sponsor website for details. This AO is being offered to address the perceived future need for RADARSAT applications involving Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR). Applications related to mapping, permafrost, oil and gas extraction, landslides and glaciers are becoming increasing priorities for both the Government and industry. Using repeat-pass interferometric coherent change detection techniques, RADARSAT-2 can be used effectively in these applications. Looking ahead to the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM), with its average daily global re-look capability and 4-day exact revisit, even greater accuracy will be possible. There is therefore a need to focus on the development of the full potential of these satellite systems in this area, and to ensure that there is a cadre of Highly Qualified People (HQP) entering the workforce with the requisite skills. |
