Description:

Opportunity for an industrial graduate training school or networking event in Ontario

All proposals are initially reviewed by the MITACS Head Office to ensure that they satisfy submission format guidelines (see below) and lie within the MITACS mandate. Applicants may be contacted at this point for further information or clarification. Proposals which meet these guidelines will undergo external scientific review. Final decisions will be communicated within two months.

Application Details: Eligible events should meet the following requirements: Training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in an area of industrial need; In any academic discipline; Contribution and/or participation of Ontario?s industry; 1 day to 2 weeks in length; In an area of provincial importance (bioeconomy and clean technology, pharmaceutical research and manufacturing, information and computing technology, digital media, advanced health technologies, new and emerging sectors).Proposers are *strongly* encouraged to discuss their ideas with MITACS ( programs@mitacs.ca) as early as possible, preferably at least three weeks prior to submitting a proposal. MITACS may also consider proposals submitted outside these deadlines, as funding permits. Proposals can be submitted by e-mail to eventproposals@mitacs.ca A confirmation of proposal submission will be sent within one week of the original submission. Please note that applicants must be faculty members eligible to hold Tri-Council funding at Canadian institutions.
NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
