The Canadian Water Network catalyzes and supports multidisciplinary research and related initiatives that address key challenges in water management across three areas ? protecting Canada?s watersheds and ecosystems, protecting the health of Canadians, and ensuring that Canada has sustainable water infrastructure. The Canadian Water Network requests research proposals to develop innovative technologies or methods to support improved management of water supplies and systems in two areas ? 1. Monitoring innovations to support prioritization efforts in multi-barrier protection of drinking water. 2. Improved energy efficiency and/or recovery in municipal wastewater treatment, management and reuse. The current call is seeking to foster innovations in water management that improve and expand
options beyond current practice to strengthen the capacity of collective decision makers to
achieve shared goals of best water management through more effective application of
resources. |

Proposals must be submitted by e-mail to Janice Levangie no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 17, 2011. |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
