Description: |
A Network of Centres of Excellence for multidisciplinary research into prions and prion diseases. Provides training, network opportunities and facilitates the transfer of research results to commercial uses. Bootstrap - The Business Opportunity Support and Technology Assessment Program is intended to provide support for the commercialization of technology developed by investigators in Canada who are involved in prion research. The program intends to encourage collaboration amongst industry, Canadian universities, and research organizations achieving an academic-industry partnership. |

Application Details: |
Project funds are dependent upon the continued funding of PrioNet under the NCE program. Researcher must meet the eligibility requirements for funding by the Tri-Council and qualify for membership in PrioNet. A Letter of Intent (LOI) must be submitted first to PrioNet?s Administrative Centre. The LOI will be reviewed by the PrioNet Executive Committee. Following review of the LOI, the Executive Committee will issue invitations for Full Applications to selected applicants.
Timelines, special processes required for evaluation of the Full Application, and other details will be provided to the successful applicants at that time.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
