BioFuelNet Canada is hosted by McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. BioFuelNet Canada is
supported by the Government of Canada through the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) program.
BioFuelNet Canada (BFN) is a network that mobilizes academic and industrial partners towards
the goal of achieving sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective biofuels. Through the
establishment of partnerships between academia and industry stakeholders, the network
focuses on real-world issues, with the goal of technology commercialization. |

Application Details: |
The overall objective of BFN is to facilitate development of biofuels and bio-derived chemicals,
and to create a realistic roadmap (over a 10-20 year timeline) for the rapid deployment of these
technologies with a long-term objective to produce 25% of the fuels used in Canada. Within 5
years, the goal will be to identify, and begin to implement, the best practices and technologies,
and to guide policy, research and development in order to achieve the long-term objective. |
