The outcomes from the proposed projects should demonstrate the ability to be transformative for the Province of Ontario and involve industry and Ontario's publicly-funded research institutions in collaborative research and development partnerships. Only those with a successful EOI will be invited to submit a full application. |

Applications will be accepted in the areas of: Smart grid-facilitating technologies including those that could: Improve grid reliability, security and efficiency; Provide or enhance energy storage; Facilitate dynamic optimization of grid operations and resources; Provide cyber security; Enhance deployment and integration of distributed resources and generation including mobile - electric vehicle/stationary storage; Advance demand response/management; Meter and communicate grid status/operation; Further distribution automation |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
