Description: |
The VIP program helps eligible Ontario companies develop, implement and commercialize technical innovations by supporting industry-academic collaborations. Industry can leverage Ontario's world-class academic institutions to solve business challenges, develop new products and processes, and increase productivity while advancing innovations that helps to build and sustain Ontario's knowledge-based economy.
This program has two streams.
? Voucher for Innovation and Productivity I (VIP I)
? Voucher for Innovation and Productivity II (VIP II) The VIP 1 Program partners with Connect Canada, NSERC Engage, NSERC ARD Level 1, and NRC-IRAP.
Please see the sponsor website for specific details on the various program requirements. An industry partner is required to participate on submitted projects; including a cash contribution that is leveraged for funding from OCE and/or it's partners. |

Application Details: |
***OCE has established a firm deadline for new VIP 1 applications of Friday, Oct. 12 @ 2pm (please see additional details in their newsletter). Those wishing to submit a joint VIP 1 + NSERC Engage application may still do so by this deadline (only a VIP 1 application is required). NOTE: VIP 1 has industry cash & in-kind matching requirements.
A VIP1 submission begins with the completion of an OCE ?client intake form? which is available at the program link on the OCE website (see ?Section H? in the VIP 1 instructions).
Internal Western deadline: By Friday, October 5th @ 2pm, applicants must 1) send a PDF copy of their application (drafts accepted) to researchoffice@uwo.ca for administrative review, and 2) submit a VIP 1 ROLA proposal for e-approvals.INDIRECT COSTS NO LONGER APPLY ON OCE PORTION OF GRANT |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
