Description:

The objective of the New Investigator Salary Award program is to provide outstanding new investigators with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their independence in initiating and conducting health research through provision of a contribution to their salary.

The Clinical Rehabilitation New Investigator Award provides recipients the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their independence in initiating and conducting research in the area of rehabilitation sciences through provision of a contribution to their salary. This award is designed to provide protected time for early-career clinical investigators, including allied health professionals, to undertake clinical or translational rehabilitation research. The award is comprised of $46,000/yr for salary and $60,000 for research.

Application Details: A new investigator is defined as a researcher who has held a full time research appointment (e.g., faculty appointment providing eligibility to apply for grants and/or supervise trainees), for a period of 0 to 60 months as of the competition deadline. At the time of application, candidates must: have obtained a full time professional degree (MD, DVM, etc.) or PhD degree within the last 10 years; hold, or have a formal commitment to an appointment as an independent researcher. The appointment must be effective at the time of taking up the award; have a full time research appointment.Your Application must be submitted using ResearchNet. Scan and upload the signed signature pages including the routing slip in the Print/Upload Signature Pages task in ResearchNet prior to submitting your application.
