Description:

In general, team grants support expert teams of talented and experienced researchers carrying out high-quality research on important health issues best addressed through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. These teams provide superior research training and mentorship environments, and support the production of new knowledge and the translation of research findings into improved health and health care.

(Phase 1: Letter of Intent) 201205TTL - CBPHC covers the broad range of primary prevention (including public health) and primary care services within the community, including health promotion and disease prevention; the diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and episodic illness; rehabilitation support; and end of life care. CBPHC involves the coordination and provision of integrated care provided by a range of health providers, including nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians, public health practitioners, physicians and others in a range of community settings including people's homes, healthcare clinics, physicians' offices, public health units, hospices, and workplaces. It is delivered in a way that is patient- and population-centred and responsive to economic, social, cultural and gender differences. ?The team must include scientists, health professionals and decision maker members as outlined in the Eligibility section under Eligibility to Apply.

Application Details:

The application process is comprised of two stages: Letter of Intent and Full Application. CIHR Team Grant proposals will be evaluated as a single, integrated entity. While each research component included in the application must be meritorious, it is critical to demonstrate that the CIHR Team Grant brings added value, in terms of the approach to improving the health of Canadians or strengthening the Canadian health care system.

The application process for this funding opportunity is comprised of two steps: Letter of Intent and Application. To complete your Letter of Intent, follow the instructions in the Team Grants - ResearchNet "Letter of Intent" Phase Instructions along with any additional instructions found below under "Specific Instructions". ?Your Letter of Intent / Application will be submitted using ResearchNet.
