The CIHR Catalyst Grant program provides seed money, on a short-term basis, to support health research activities which represent a first step towards the pursuit of more comprehensive funding opportunities.

The Institute of Gender and Health, Institute of Cancer Research, Institute of Genetics, and Institute of Infection and Immunity will provide funding for applications that are determined to be relevant to the following research area: Sex as a biological variable is the primary focus of this funding opportunity. Applications must propose to introduce a new research question that incorporates sex as a variable into a new or established research project.

Application Details: The application process for this funding opportunity is normally comprised of two steps: Registration and Application.Your Application must be submitted using ResearchNet. Scan and upload the signed signature pages including the routing slip in the Print/Upload Signature Pages task in ResearchNet prior to submitting your application.
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
