Description: |
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is focused on ensuring that all children have equal access to the immunizations they need to protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases. The Gates Foundation endorses and strives for the goals outlined by the Global Immunization Vision and Strategy (GIVS), of at least 90% vaccination coverage in every country, and at least 80% coverage in every district. The purpose of this Request for Letters of Inquiry is to solicit letters from interested parties so that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation may identify potential candidates for the development of an easy-to-use tool that rapidly assesses immune status of children against select vaccine- preventable diseases. Inquiries will be welcome that focus on prototype development, and which detail plans for future commercialization possibilities. |

LOIs must be submitted electronically, using the forms and process on the Sponsor website. All LOIs must be submitted by 10:00 am PT on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Late submissions may not be considered.INDIRECT COSTS OF 15% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
