Description:

The Innovation Strategy focuses on innovation and learning in population health interventions to reduce health inequalities in Canada. Priorities are selected on the basis of the significance of the issue for public health and the need for better evidence on effective interventions. The IS supports the development, adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of promising, innovative population health interventions and initiatives in various settings and populations in Canada. The IS also supports knowledge translation and dissemination based on the systematic collection of results and outcomes of these interventions and promotion of their use across Canada.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) invites successful Letter of Intent applicants to submit a full proposal as part of the Phase II solicitation process for "Achieving Healthier Weights in Canada?s Communities". Phase II of the Innovation Strategy supports the more comprehensive implementation and assessment/evaluation of the intervention begun in Phase I, building on the early results and learnings.

This Invitation to Submit Applications ? Full Proposal is the second stage of the Phase II solicitation process. One (1) original hard copy of the signed, completed submission as well as five (5) photocopies, by courier, to the Centre for Grants and Contributions Programs and Evaluation c/o Mariline Joachim, Project Officer Public Health Agency of Canada. INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
