Description: |
The PRAR is the means through which OICR Program/Platform Directors (PDs), Co-PDs (where applicable) and Principal Investigators (PIs) may request multi-year, multi-institutional, multi-project and multi-disciplinary funding for Innovation Programs, Technology Platforms and Translational Research Programs. PRARs should result in new approaches to cancer prevention and early detection, discovery of new cancer targets and therapeutics, improvement of outcomes for cancer patients and survivors, and establishment of public policies for the management of cancer patients in the province of Ontario. The PRAR will present a comprehensive translational research plan and a four-year budget request. It is expected that the PRAR will leverage OICR funds and obtain other significant sources of Canadian and international research funding. Funds will be released on a quarterly basis following the review of performance and progress towards or attainment of milestones and deliverables. |

Application Details: |
Each PRAR will be led by a PD, with a Co-PD (if applicable). The PD will be based at the Lead Institution, and will be responsible for the intellectual direction and development of the Research Activities (RAs). Courier the original and 20 identical, two-sided copies of the completed application (spiral bound) and one CD with a PDF version of the application. Please see checklist for greater detail.APPLICABLE IDC OF 30% WILL BE ADDED TO THE BUDGET |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
