ECHO is an agency of the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care. Their mission is greater health for women through leadership, productive partnerships and research. Their vision is improved health and well-being and reduced health-inequities for Ontario women. The current priority health areas are: mental health and addictions, chronic disease, and sexual and reproductive health. RFA: KT2010-02 | Informal caregiver education: Best practices for empowering caregivers. To determine the current best practice programs and/or tools which provide education to informal caregivers and to create recommendations for cost effective caregiver education support priorities for a range of informal caregivers across Ontario. The purpose of this project is to learn what strategies exist which support caregiver education, what organizations are offering the supports, and to recommend best practices. |

Application Details: |
ECHO's intent is to invest in research which creates value for Ontarians. Principal Investigators must be based in Ontario and not hold more than two research operating grants from Echo at one time. PI's cannot submit more than one application per competition, however, applying as a CO-PI on a second application is acceptable. ** Echo requires that those considering applying for this RFA should contact Leigh Hayden (lhayden@echo-ontario.ca, 416-597-9687 ext. 222) by: June 1, 2010. ** Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit letters of support. Letters of support are to demonstrate the support of partners and institutions regarding resources and time. Submit one electronic copy of the application form to info@echo-ontario.ca and five fully executed paper copies of the entire application to: Echo Ontario. If you have any questions about the application process please contact the Echo staff person indicated on the RFA announcement.INDIRECT COSTS OF 15% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
