Description:

The CBMRN launches a call for proposals to respond to the new vision for the second phase of the network, "Sustainable production of safe, high-quality milk." The CBMRN invites all its member scientists and non-member scientists to submit research proposals.

The 2011 call for proposals involves a budgetary envelop of approximately $195,000. Projects will get underway by May 2011 and final reports will be due November 2012. Proposals are invited that represent new research projects, research associated with existing CBMRN projects, and revised proposals that have been previously submitted but not funded. In all cases, projects must clearly contribute to at least one of the scientific objectives adopted by the CBMRN in February 2010. Scientists planning to submit a proposal must send to Anne-Marie Christen (anne-marie.christen@umontreal.ca) the title of their proposal and the name and email of five external reviewers by December 7, 2010. Please note that the short review time for these proposals necessitates that no complete proposal will be accepted for which an approximate title and reviewers? names have not been submitted.***

Application Details:

In order to receive funding, non-member scientists will need to be accepted for membership in the CBMRN and both they and their institutions will be required to sign the Governance, Financial and Intellectual Property Management Agreement of the Network.

Proposals have to be sent to Anne-Marie Christen (annemarie.christen@umontreal.ca) by January 5th, 2011 (midnight).

INDIRECT COSTS OF 25% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
