Description:

The goal of the RPASS program is to fund research that will assist the provincial plan for developing excellence in sport .

The 2010 RPASS application cycle will accept proposals across the spectrum of sport sciences but with particular interest in the following areas: biomechanics, motor learning, physiology, psychology, sport technology/engineering and proposals that integrate two or more of these areas. Funding will be provided after the agreement has been signed by the principal investigator, a representative of the sponsoring organization, and the MHP representative.

Application Details:

Only researchers working with organizations in Ontario are eligible for MHP funding. The MHP flows funding to researchers through sponsoring organizations who then administer research grant funding on behalf of the grant recipient(s). To be eligible for an MHP RPASS grant, a sponsoring organization must be: - a post-secondary institution or affiliated institution, such as a university, hospital, or research institute;or a non-government, non-profit sport and recreation sector organization

There are two funding opportunities for 2010 RPASS Application cycle: 1. Research Project. The current funding limit per research project is $10,000. Project plans should be designed with a maximum project duration of 12 months 2. Knowledge Translation Project. The current funding limit per knowledge translation project is $1,000.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM.

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
