Description: |
The Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is dedicated to the support and nurturing of psychoanalytic investigative scholars and to the facilitation of a spirit of investigative inquiry based on psychoanalytic theory and principles of mental functioning. The Fund conceives of psychoanalytic research along the broadest lines, including: scholarly and empirical investigative contributions that can advance knowledge of psychoanalytic theory, practice, and links between psychoanalysis and neighboring disciplines such as developmental psychology or neuroscience. Give a clear and sufficient account of how the project will be carried out, including the research design, sample selection and recruitment, procedures, measures (if relevant), a time schedule for completion. |

Application Details: |
The Fund awards four types of grants: Grants of one or two years duration at a maximum of $20,000 yearly for a specific project building upon psychoanalytic principles or directly investigating the process and/or outcome of psychoanalytically informed treatments. All applications and supporting materials including appendices should be submitted in 10 copies to: American Psychoanalytic Association by the deadline date.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
