HSHC believes that by investing in research we could lead the way to reducing or even eliminating oral health disease in children in the future. HSHC Oral Health Research Grants are multi-year awards of up to $100,000 a year for up to three years that can be applied to research initiatives consistent with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry?s Research Agenda. Research proposals for studies falling outside of the AAPD Research Agenda will not be considered. Applicants with the most competitive Letters of Intents will be asked to submit a full proposal to Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children. Applicants will be notified by November 1st of their LOI status. |

Application Details: |
HSHC research funds may be utilized for larger scale projects involving multiple funding agencies or smaller investigations where HSHC is the lead or lone supporter. Qualified applicants/organizations are limited to individuals affiliated with programs that are accredited by either the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). To be considered for support, qualified applicants/organizations must: Complete the Oral Health Research Letter of Intent (LOI). Submit LOI to Tracey Schilligo at tschilligo@aapd.org by August 15, 2011. Please note that attachment size should not exceed 3MB. NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
