Description: |
The GOA will work closely with the contractor in the initial stages to define project requirements, assist in the development and approval of survey questions and methodology. GOA will also provide guidance and advice when required, to support the project. To procure services from a qualified contractor to conduct a survey on the settlement experiences and outcomes of immigrants to Alberta with focus on those who have lived in the province from 3 up to 60 months. The Government of Alberta (GOA) views successful migrant settlement as integral to the migrants' ability to contribute socially and economically in Alberta. In the FY 2010-2011,
the GOA helped over 25,000 immigrants settle into Alberta communities. The GOA continues to work with the federal counterparts to develop and deliver settlement services that are aimed at reducing or removing barriers which prevent newcomers from fully participating in Alberta's economic prosperity. |

Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
