The Non-Medical Research Ethics Board reviews all ethics applications involving human participants that include social, behavioral and cultural research in a non-clinical, non-patient-based population.
The Non-Medical REB consists of a full review board, a delegated review board and several faculty/department level sub-REBs.
Effective August 6, 2013, the Non-Medical Research Ethics Board sub-REBs will only be able to review course-based pedagogical projects. All other projects must be submitted for review by the Full Board or Delegated Board of the Non-Medical Research Ethics Board. For more information, please see the following memorandum.
