Below you will find several government and public sector resources providing information on senior and adult care to properly address your family's specific needs and the options and alternatives available to address those concerns.
General Resources
- Seniors' Info - Informational web resources for seniors and their families
- Ontario Senior's Secretariat - Informational web resource for programs for seniors and caregivers in Ontario
Marriage
Western Resources
- If you are changing your address you may make that change online in My Human Resources, or you may complete a Personal Data Form.
- If you are changing your name, please download and complete a Personal Data Form and mail or fax it to us at the address on the form. You may also scan and email it to hrhelp@uwo.ca. You will need to attach copies of two pieces of identification to support the change, including one piece of photo identification.
- You may wish to add your new spouse to your benefits coverage and review your beneficiary designations. To do so, please complete the Benefit Application/Change form. Note: when adding/increasing life insurance, a medical questionnaire may be required if more than 31 days have passed since the first day of your eligibility or your spouse/dependent’s eligibility for the insurance. You may wish to contact Human Resources for assistance in understanding your current coverage and the options available to you. To review your benefits visit the Your Benefits website and choose your employee group.

New Baby
Western Resources
- Western's Human Resources has developed a Prenatal, Pregnancy and Adoption page that outlines the processes of applying for a leave after the arrival of your baby. The Life Events website through Service Canada offers detailed resources on how to register for your baby's birth certificate, social insurance number, OHIP, and passport.
- You may add your child to your Extended Health and Dental plan using the Benefit Application/Change form.
- You may wish to add or increase life insurance coverage and review your current life and pension beneficiary designations. Contact Human Resources for assistance reviewing your current coverage and coverage options available to you.

- Middlesex County Health Unit - Provides information on breastfeeding, weight clinics, and immunizations.
- Ontario Early Years - Essential resources on preparing for the arrival of baby.
- Childreach - London's Ontario Years Centre - Contains information on playgroups, structured programs, and parenting information.
Separation and Divorce
Western Resources
- Western's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential, face-to-face and secure web-based counselling, 24/365 emergency telephone counselling, telephone advisory services, wellness workshops, and psychoeducational groups. The EAP is available through the facilities of FSEAP Thames Valley / Family Service Thames Valley.
