What’s Open and When?

The province has outlined a three step re-opening plan. The province entered step three on Friday, July 16, 2021. Western remains in step three in Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen.

Western Libraries

Five Western Libraries locations reopen as of Tuesday, September 7, to support our on-campus community this fall. Weldon remains closed for renovations and expects to reopen in November.

Western students, faculty, and staff will have access to a full suite of library services, including study space, computers, and printing equipment. General stacks collections at Taylor, Business, Law, and Music libraries, plus materials in the Education Resource Centre, may be browsed and borrowed during regular hours of operation. Appointments to access archival materials, special collections, and maps are available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. No-contact pickup of materials is available via Weldon.

Full details on Western Libraries’ September services, including health and safety protocols for users, can be found at: https://www.lib.uwo.ca/covid19/index.html.

All new and returning students are encouraged to keep their student cards on hand at all times and to ensure that you have registered with Indigenous Student Centre to gain swipe card access to the space.

On September 1, all campus parking lot gates will be lowered and Parking & Visitor Services will resume collecting fees for parking services. Access to parking areas will once again be with active paid permit or pay-as-you-go visitor parking. Enforcement staff will be monitoring lots to help ensure a smooth return to campus for the entire community.
