Strategic Planning
What’s the goal?
The new strategic plan will shape the future of our faculty by identifying where we are now, where we aspire to be, and the path we will take to get there.
Strategic planning is about managing change and guiding the decisions we have to make today in order to shape tomorrow. It helps us think and plan for the future. Through the strategic planning process, we will define our values, mission, goals, priorities, and collective vision, helping to align our resources with strategic priorities while strengthening our areas of expertise. This process will result in a forward-looking, evidence-based strategic plan that is grounded in context, strategically aligned, developed in collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and external partners, and ready for implementation.
How are we progressing?
The first step in this project was building a comprehensive environmental scan and current state report. This step was widely informed by a significant engagement process with key FHS constituencies and included a number of interviews, focus groups, written feedback and the faculty, staff and student-wide survey.
After gathering this feedback and hearing about FHS’s current operating environment, the leadership team will come together to develop a draft strategic framework for the Faculty. This framework starts to articulate the faculty’s vision and mission statements, values and strategic objectives. Once developed in draft, we want your input and feedback!
We are scheduling a number of focus groups for both faculty and staff across FHS buildings and are inviting you to sign-up for a focus group session to provide your feedback and input.
