Sensory Lab

The Sensory Lab is a unique environment designed to allow participants to taste test different food samples, providing consumer data for researchers and industry partners. The eight individual testing booths have specialized LED lighting that can be adjusted to specific colour and temperature conditions.

This space is used by the Sensory Evaluation of Foods and Product Development courses, as well as by select MScFN project-based students focusing on food science and product development.

Members of the public are sometimes invited to participate in sensory evaluations to assist graduate-level research.
