Laura Misener completes Phase 1 of GAPS Caribbean project

Laura Misener has completed phase one of the GAPS Caribbean Project. In partnership with the Commonwealth Games Federation, phase one of this project has focused on examining parasport development opportunity and capacity challenges in Commonwealth Caribbean nations.

Dr. Nancy Quinn, Post-Doctoral Associate and Research Assistant Ayham Yassein collected documents and conducted interviews with personnel from the region about parasport development opportunities, challenges, and potential. The analysis demonstrates some key areas for future development of the CGF GAPS program in region.

The next Phase of the project will involve the development of broader partnerships to support program development and implementation in targeted areas of the Caribbean.
