A smoke-free Western

Western is smoke-free!  On July 1, 2019, we took the final step to "clear the air" for a cleaner, healthier campus.  Read more about the changes.

Living Well @ Western is Western's premier wellness program, designed to encourage and promote a wide variety of physical, cultural, and intellectual activities to improve health and wellness at Western.  Staff and faculty are invited to participate in free activities including Zumba, yoga, meditation, walking tours and more.  Visit the Living Well @ Western website for more information.

Health Services - Western Student Health Services is not just for students! SHS also provides on campus health care to Western staff and faculty and their families!

Workplace Health - Offers an Occupational Health Nurse who can provide employee focused, holistic health services to staff and faculty at Western. If you have work or personal health concerns, make an appointment.

Rehabilitation Services - Promotes employee health and wellness and strives to minimize the impact associated with disability.  Our team consists of a Rehabilitation Leader, Rehabilitation Coordinator, Ergonomic Specialists, Return to Work Specialist and a Wellness Information Coordinator.

Campus Recreation - Excellent facilities including a great pool, group classes, personal training - all at an affordable price.   Check out membership rates here.

Hospitality Services - Who knows nutrition better than the folks who look after healthy eating in Western student residences? They share tips, recipes, video demos and more.

Physiotherapy - Physiotherapy assessment and treatment is available at Workplace Health on a part-time basis. For more information about physiotherapy please call 519-685-3251 from a campus phone.

Massage Therapy - A Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is available at Workplace Health. Call 519-661-3030 to make an appointment.

Women’s Safety Committee - Committed to the safety of women who are members of the Western community.

Alcohol & Drugs - This Western Health Services page offers information about alcohol and drug use, and includes the time and location for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings on campus.
